BREAKING: Eagles get home ice advantage in round two

The Canmore Eagles have lucked out and will get home ice advantage for games one and two of the next round in the AJHL playoffs.

The Canmore Eagles have lucked out and will get home ice advantage for games one and two of the next round in the AJHL playoffs.
Set to face the Drumheller Dragons after defeating the Camrose Kodiak in round one on Monday (March 10), the schedule of games for round two was released Thursday (March 13).
Drumheller finished the regular season in third, which means they should have seen home ice advantage over the fifth place Eagles. However, the arena in Drumheller was already booked for this weekend for provincial minor hockey championships.
That means the Eagles will see home ice for games one and two starting Friday night (March 14) and then on Saturday (March 15). Both games are at 7 p.m.
Games three, four and five (March 17,18 and 21) will be in Drumheller in the best of seven series and game six in Canmore on March 23. If needed, game seven will be back in Drumheller on March 25.
Tickets for the Eagles first two games are on sale at the Rec Centre Thursday from 2-6 p.m. and again Friday at 2 p.m.
