Retail

I worked for Billabong in Banff for the past 11 years. I had the pleasure of opening the original store in 2006 and have been a Store Manager, Area Manager and District Manager for the company. I recently stepped away from the company to pursue the opportunity to run for town council and I have secured a part time job at another retailer in Banff.

I am a current member on the Board of Directors for the Banff Greenhouse Gardening Society.

11 years

I want to make a difference; I want to be a part of the legacy of our great Town. I am willing to work hard to preserve the integrity of our community while finding solutions to the ever-growing challenges that we are facing. I am committed to establishing viable solutions for our housing and parking concerns. I believe that with the right strategic priorities in place, we can work together to keep our town moving forward. I am looking forward to being challenged, and to being accountable for my decisions as I represent the residents of our great town.

High level of accountability

Strong sense of integrity

I do what is right, not what is easy

I am compassionate

Ability to be sensitive to all community concerns

I have worked for both privately and publicly owned companies and I understand that processes need to be in place to maintain an accurate checks and balances system

I am committed to doing the right thing

Housing

Parking

Environmental and Wildlife Protection

Appropriate snow removal on sidewalks and streets

The greatest challenge facing elected officials is how they maintain the balance between reality and expectations. Elected officials in Banff have an obligation to protect the integrity of the town (and the park) while finding solutions that fit the needs and demands that come from the pressures of growth and development. We are so fortunate to live in this very special place--and there will always have to be special considerations given to protecting it for the generations to come while meeting present day needs.
