The death of a Stoney Nakoda man is being investigated following an “altercation” that left him critically injured on Wednesday (Dec. 16). The 28 year old died in a Calgary hospital, according to RCMP.

Cochrane RCMP is currently investigating a male allegedly involved in the incident.
Police did not release further information about either men or the type of injury.
Shortly after 3 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. Police said the two men were celebrating earlier and then had a disagreement.
EMS crews attended and the victim was airlifted by STARS Ambulance to hospital.
