RCMP are looking for information on graffiti taggers who defaced a number of locations in Banff’s Central Park, last weekend.

RCMP Cpl. Chris Kosack said the graffiti was likely applied late Friday (May 9) or in the early hours of Saturday.

Graffiti in two colours was spray painted on the gazebo, an informational sign near the Bow River, on Rundle stone at the north end of the bridge and on timber planters in several locations.

“That would be mischief under the Criminal Code,” said Kosack, “and we’re definitely looking into that. There’s also a municipal bylaw that we sometimes charge under.”

Anyone with information related to the Central Park graffiti can call the RCMP at 403-762-2228.
