RCMP arrest counterfeit suspect

Canmore RCMP have arrested a Red Deer man after an investigation into the passing of counterfeit U.S. money in Canmore and Exshaw. Jesse Strongeagles-Geddes, 22, has been arrested with counterfeit bills in his possession.

Jesse Strongeagles-Geddes, 22, has been arrested with counterfeit bills in his possession. He has been charged with numerous offenses, including multiple charges of making and uttering counterfeit money, and multiple counts of failing to comply with conditions of release.
 
On Feb. 23, a number of  businesses  owners in Canmore and Exshaw reported to police that they believed counterfeit U.S. currency had been passed at their establishments in $50 and $20 denominations.
 
Investigators are asking local businesses to contact  Canmore RCMP at 403-678-5519 if they are in possession of any U.S. $50 and/or $20 bills that may have been passed on or about Feb. 23.
