RCMP seek fraud suspect

Sometime during the overnight hours of Jan. 20, unknown culprits entered a vehicle parked in the Silvertip area of Canmore. Several items were stolen from the vehicle, including credit cards, cash and personal belongings.
On Jan. 21, between 6 and 7:30 a.m., an unidentified male was in various businesses in the Canmore area and utilized the stolen credit cards for several purchases.
Police have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect male and the vehicle he was driving. The licence plate affixed to the vehicle was later found to have been stolen.
The male is described as Caucasian, with short, light coloured hair, with a slight build and wearing a Helly Hansen blue work coat, black ball cap, black t-shirt, blue jeans and black work boots.

The suspect vehicle is a newer Dodge Ram pickup truck with extended cab, short box and a tool box in back.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact Canmore RCMP at 403-678-5519.
