Snowmobile joy riders sought

Two men who decided to steal a snowmobile and take it for a joy ride at Sunshine Village are wanted by RCMP. The suspects left Trapper’s Saloon at approximately 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 when they proceeded to steal a snowmobile belonging to the ski resort.

The suspects left Trapper’s Saloon at approximately 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 when they proceeded to steal a snowmobile belonging to the ski resort.

The snowmobile was located by Sunshine staff a short time later with significant fire damage.

One suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 25 years old, with short dark hair, wearing a grey hoodie and dark ski pants, wearing dark coloured winter boots and carrying a red and white plaid coloured ski jacket and green helmet.

The second male suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 25 years old, with short dark hair, a dark coloured beard, wearing a grey ski jacket, black ski pants and a black helmet.

Investigators ask that anyone with information regarding this crime or the identity of the suspects contact Banff RCMP at 403-762-2226.
