TEDx Canmore looking for speakers

TEDx Canmore organizers are bringing the event back to the valley this fall and are looking for locals with ideas worth sharing.

TEDx Canmore organizers are bringing the event back to the valley this fall and are looking for locals with ideas worth sharing.

Event organizers want to find engaging and evocative presenters, artists and performers to discuss their view of the theme Evolve for the second TEDx event on Oct. 9.

“We are looking for performers and speakers who have something to show or say, ideas worth spreading, about the evolution of things, on a small scale or large,” said Lisa Power, TEDxCanmore licensee and organizing committee chair.

“Are we evolving in a way that inspires us? How do we evolve our endeavours, our world, and ultimately humanity in a way that provides meaning, connection and growth?”

TEDx events are locally organized and intend to bring community together to share a TED-like experience. The events are intentionally small, designed to be intimate and provoke discussion. The Canmore event has an audience of 300 who are inspired by ideas and interested in connecting with others that share a pursuit of knowledge.

Go to www.tedxcanmore.com to apply to speak at the event or nominate someone.
