A 53-year-old woman was seriously injured after falling 60 metres while scrambling the northwest side of Mount Daly near the Waputik Icefield.
The accident happened on August 23 at about 7 p.m. as she was descending Mount Daly near the boundary of Banff and Yoho national parks.
Officials said she suffered serious head injuries and was flown to a Calgary hospital by STARS.
“She was traversing a scree slope when she slipped,” wrote Tania Peters, a spokesperson for Lake Louise, Yoho and Kootenay, in an email.
