LETTER: This is that glorious season when your friends or family start sending you beautiful photos of cherry trees blooming in Victoria, but on a recent walk around the Bow River in Canmore all I could see blooming was dog poop in various forms of decay.

The Canmore Eagles season has been written off after a loss in the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs.

“I know how hard it is to win something like that and I thought about how hard I worked in the off season to get to this point, and it was pretty cool to see my hard work rewarded,” said Mortensen.

“It will be interesting to see how we can get some of these things implemented and just to have that awareness of what could happen.”
