LAKE LOUISE – A contest is underway for artists to create this year’s Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup poster.

Artwork submissions should represent downhill, or super-G alpine skiing at Lake Louise Ski Resort in Banff National Park.

The original design can be “any two-dimensional creative medium including drawing, painting, photography or mixed media,” with the winning piece to be used as the 2019 official event poster.

"We are excited to engage with the ski community during the summer months and hope to receive many submissions from artists around the globe," said Robert Imbrogno, CEO, Winterstart Events Ltd, in a press release. “This contest is open to all ages and is international in scope.  We know our ski community has many creative artists within and we look forward to being able to showcase an artist on the international stage."

The contest closes Sept. 1 and the winning artist will be announced Sept. 15.

For those interested, a full list of contest details can be found at https://lakelouiseworldcup.com/en/poster-contest/.

The men’s downhill and super-G races take place Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The women’s downhill and super-G races are from Dec. 6-8.
