Lindsay Bischoff was crowned Provincial P4 Open All around champion, Quinn Webster took the Alberta Under 12 Provincial 1 crown and Jacob Baggott was named top Provincial 2 Under 12 athlete to lead the charge for Canmore Illusions as it brought home a whopping 35 medals from the Alberta championships in Lethbridge, April 17-19.

Bischoff clinched the all-around the title with a silver medal performance in her floor routine and bronze on bars.

Lindsay Nunn also finished third overall in Level 2, while Level 3 gymnast Annie Lepper won bronze on the vault with her best result of the season. Anna Parent won gold in uneven bars, also in Level 2.

Britt Richardson joined Bischoff on the podium in Level 4, as she finished third overall on the strength of a gold on bars and bronze on floor. Competing at her first provincials in Level 4, Krista Scurfield won bronze on the bars.

Matilda Kirk finished seventh on Floor in P2 Argo.

The men’s team captured an incredible 14 gold medals, led by Baggott and Webster. Webster won gold in every discipline to take the title, while Baggot won four gold and two silver to clinch his overall title.

Pele Christoffersson won silver in the Provincial 1 Under 10 division, winning gold in the vault.

Boah Folliott won gold in the rings and finished fourth overall in Provincial 1 Under 10. Aidain Christoffersson earned a provincial title in parallel bars, and finished fourth all around in the Provincial 3 – Under 13 division.

The new gymnastics facility will host the Summit Invitational from May 29-31, hosting 415 athletes from across the country. It will be the new facility’s first competition.
