Logan Milliken of Canmore has signed with the Wenatchee Wild of the BCHL for the upcoming season.

Milliken, 18, has spent the past two seasons with the Banff Hockey Academy, where he was an integral part of the team's offence, along with fellow Bow Valley resident Ryan Barrow.

The swift skating defenceman scored 12 goals and picked up 22 assists in 49 games with the Bears' prep team, and another 32 points in 32 games with the varsity team. He also played three games with the Canmore Eagles of the AJHL, and will join former Bears teammate Kyle Stephan in Wenatchee. Only three Canadians are currently on the Washington-based team.

“I'm extremely excited to be joining the Wild for this upcoming season,” Milliken said in a release. “Wenatchee looks like a great hockey town with great fans and an unreal facility. I can't wait to get started.”

Listed at 5 foot 11, 180 pounds, he led prep division defencemen in scoring during the 2014-15 season.

This will be the Wild's first season in the BCHL, where they will play in the mainland division. Previously, the team was a part of the North American Hockey League.
