Valley athletes podium at Summer Games

Almost 3,000 athletes, officials and coaches took in the Alberta Summer Games, July 24-27 in Airdrie. Among those, numerous Zone 2 Bow Valley athletes took part, with several claiming victory in their athletic endeavours.

Almost 3,000 athletes, officials and coaches took in the Alberta Summer Games, July 24-27 in Airdrie.

Among those, numerous Zone 2 Bow Valley athletes took part, with several claiming victory in their athletic endeavours.

Among those was swimmer Neo Gleason, who placed first in Cat 2 Male 400 Free, Cat 2 Male 100 Free and Cat 2 Male 800 Free.

In mountain biking, Reed Godfrey was first in Team Relay and 15-17 Male Cross Country. Ty Godfrey was also first in Team Relay. Isobel Hendry was first in 12-14 Female Cross Country.

Also in the pool was Emiko Osborne, with firsts in Cat 4 Female 400 Free, Cat 4 200 Free and Cat 4 800 Free.

Kelsey Slemko was first in the mountain bike team relay.
