For Canmorites looking for some local sounds, the Legion will host a four-band extravaganza, Saturday (Feb. 15).

The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will include: The Last Order, a popular Irish/Celtic band on a mission to get you dancing; Justin Hill and Co., a tried and true local favourite who will have a few friends along for some rock, blues and punk; Tootsie Gunslinger, a local take on folksie bluegrass sounds and Elk Run and Riot, a band that features layered originals, intricate harmonies and cool beats.

The Legion will utilize the entire main floor area and have two sound systems running for the event.

“The bands will each play about an hour long set, and when one band is done, the focus will shift to the next room, and the next band,” said Amy Nelson, Legion events coordinator. “There won’t be any waiting or set up time in between, just a whole lot of music.

“This is the first time we’ve tried this, so we are hoping for success and the chance to try it again.”

Tickets are available at the Canmore Legion for $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
