Local Author Jennifer MacFarlane is launching her book THINK CREATE JUMP: 11 Proven Ways To Create A “Hell Yeah” Life on April 8 in Banff at 330 Squirrel Street from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

The book has been a long journey for MacFarlane, who has used a good amount of her personal growth and education to help readers reach goals, levels of health, wealth and happiness.

MacFarlane has obtained certificates in yoga and meditation and plays the part of mother, wife, intuitive healer, spiritual guide and personal life work coach.

“Just before my birthday on Dec. 12, I published it on Amazon, but I knew the whole time I needed to have a physical copy of my book,” MacFarlane said. “This is my first book and it felt pretty awesome, there were definitely a couple of tears.”

Originally from Nova Scotia, MacFarlane says she was always told and taught that her writing wasn’t up to snuff and she had to overcome a lot of her own thoughts and limitations in order to put her first book out into the world.

“Ever since I was a teenager at 15 I always said, ‘I’ll write books one day,’ and was thinking about how that was going to happen and life kind of happened. And 25 years went by and I woke up one day and went ‘Oh, it’s time to write a book,’” MacFarlane said.

“I really just wanted to, at this point, share the power of our thoughts and how they really create our reality and that’s what the book is about; with different exercises in it about how to overcome the limitations in the mind.”

When she turned 18, a friend called her up and asked if she wanted to go to a Canadian Rocky Mountain town called Banff.

“At the time I had no idea where Banff was, what Banff was, how beautiful it was, so we packed up her little Spitfire car and drove across the country,” MacFarlane said. “I probably spent a good year partying, and a good friend said, ‘What are you doing here? You’re always reading books about alternative health and wellness, why aren’t you moving in that direction?’”

It was in 2013 that she started the project and woke up knowing she was ready to write the book.

“I did a visualization meditation technique that I included in the book and that night I sat down at my computer and didn’t stop writing for three months – that was the only thing I could focus on,” MacFarlane said.

“I was fully committed for three months and the book was written in three months, but then it took me two years to figure out all the rest that was going to go into it, the editing, figuring out social media around books, how to publish, how I wanted to publish – there are millions of possibilities now.”

THINK CREATE JUMP is currently available on Amazon, and at www.astralily.com, MacFarlane’s personal website. Also, with the purchase of a book comes the opportunity to enter a chance to win a free seat in MacFarlane’s self discovery online course YOU School, and also offers a course in the Town of Banff community calendar called Soul Writing.
