Major crimes investigating 'suspicious death' on Stoney Nakoda

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a "suspicious death" on Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

STONEY NAKODA – The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a "suspicious death" on Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

Police responded to a disturbance on Friday morning (Sept. 7) at a residence, where a 55-year-old man from Stoney Nakoda was found deceased.

"RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation due to suspicious circumstances," said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Gina Slaney, in a media release.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday (Sept. 11).
