Re.: Jumping to conclusions “Canmore has a speeding problem” opines a writer in a letter of Feb. 1. Proof for him is cars showing up from nowhere and tailgating him on Three Sisters Parkway.

Council’s performance around the problematic Canmore Rec Centre project is lackluster.

Editor: This is my bit to that MAID (Medical Assistance In Dying) conversation a recent letter writer says we should have. From her letter, I assume she believes when we die that is the end of us, no afterlife.

Editor: Since 1983, the Canmore Recreation Centre (CRC) has had a storied history of unfortunate planning and has been underfunded. It shows. Last week at council’s special meeting we witnessed another blunder in the numerous shortfalls of the CRC.

Editor: This past week or so has been another sad one for Canmore. Hard to relish what was happening as an entire strip of forest was taken down for commercial development on Old Canmore Road.
