CANMORE – Canmore council voted Tuesday night (Nov. 6) to support a 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Olympic Games bid, but it wasn’t a unanimous decision and it came with a very specific condition.

COCHRANE – The youth suspect accused of attempted murder for shooting a German tourist in August has been granted bail. The decision was delivered by Justice Peter Barley Thursday (Nov. 1) in Calgary Provincial Court.

CANMORE – Things got heated over the weekend between all three levels of government after news broke on Friday (Oct. 26) that the federal government would provide $1.5 billion in 2018 dollars to support Calgary’s 2026 Olympic bid.
