Editor: Dear Ms. Koegler, you did not fail to communicate your message in your first letter. I picked up on the sub-text right away. It was the man who took offence, that failed to do so, either by not knowing how or by a desire to be self-righteous.

Editor: I am the writer of the ‘Watching my speedometer’ letter that has caused such a stir. What I apparently failed to communicate in my letter is that Canmore’s photo radar program is militant and counterproductive.

Editor: Why should CP or the provincial government be expected to take on the liability of trespassing businesses in order for those same said businesses to make as much fast money as possible? Do not be fooled ...

Editor: Bow Valley Clean Air Society has been working for years to improve and protect the air quality for our communities. Lately, we have broadened our focus to include reduction of regional contributions to greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).

Editor: Why on earth anyone would want to raise that teepee to some useable function is quite beyond me. I worked in that building in the 1980s when it was the Travel Alberta information centre on the west end of Canmore.

Editor: Re: RMO, May 12 … Banff well prepared for wildfire situation. I beg to differ with the fire chief as to Banff’s preparedness for a wildfire situation.

Editor: On Thursday (May 12) I was on my way to an appointment in downtown Canmore. I parked in the parking lot behind Bank of Montreal and, when walking away from my vehicle, I tripped and landed on my face on the paving.

Editor: What began as a lovely Mother’s Day weekend for me unfortunately ended in another awful encounter with an aggressive off-leash dog and its irresponsible owners.

Editor: I am writing in response to a letter entitled, Watching my speedometer. Please, for the safety of everyone in Canmore, as well as anywhere else you may take your vehicle, give up your drivers licence and stay off the road.

Editor: Re: Court dishes out fine Three cheers for the $1,000 fine levied to the off-leash dog violator. The only way to deal with these vagrant disregards of the law is to hit them in the pocket book.
