Editor: Your newspaper does not seem to have checked the facts in a letter to the RMO on April 28.

Editor: On April 7 the Outlook published a letter titled Response To NIMBY And FOIPP. This letter was written by a Canmore resident.

Editor: I just received my second photo radar ticket of the year in the mail. In a town notorious for fining people for doing 31 km/h in a 30 km/h zone, this is hardly a surprise.

Editor: Re: Staff shortage and housing not mutually exclusive. I think we need a change in our perspective on this issue: we need to differentiate between the needs of long-term employees in the hospitality industry and short-term help.

Editor: Recently in the Outlook, I have read letters taking note of garbage along the highways, and those collecting it.

It was nice of Jim to write a note of thanks re: highway cleanup (April 14 RMO). Although we do it as a civic duty and not for the thanks, it is always nice when we get an occasional acknowledgement honk on the horn from passing motorists.

The Canmore management team deserve a compliment for opting for a modern roundabout for traffic control at Benchlands Trail and Elk Run Boulevard.

Re: More Peaks grief and New housing director sets focus on strategic priorities. In brief, reading these two articles brought some positives, even a chuckle, which sometimes these days in Canmore with Town council decisions can be hard to get.

Editor: Re: Banff buys Credit Union building, published in the March 31 edition of the RMO. For a number of reasons I do not support the Town’s proposed purchase of the Credit Union (CU) building located at 221 Beaver Street.
